Move America Forward makes it easy to sponsor a care package to the troops. There is no need to deal with the Post Office's confusing custom's forms, you don't have to find the address of one of the troops in Iraq or Afghanistan, and because we buy all the products in bulk, you can send more to the troops for your dollar than if you were to purchase the items at the store yourself.
At our Care Package Headquarters based out of a warehouse on the outskirts of Sacramento, MAF packs care packages with the help of dozens of our dedicated volunteers. Many groups from the community have also volunteered to help pack care packages for the troops; including church groups, home schoolers, boy scouts and girl scouts, Republican and Democratic parties, school groups, police and firefighters, and many others.
Some of our volunteers show up five days a week to help pack care packages for the troops
Our warehouse is an ideal location to pack care packages, we have ample space to store products, fill the boxes, and the facilities necessary to ship and receive truckloads of care packages at a time.
At our Care Package Facility we can easily ship thousands of packages at a time

Participation is simple: join a team, pick a banner ad from our Media Kit or use a hyperlink, post the banner ad to your blog, link the banner to the Troopathon care package order form using the special link we will provide, and then your team will receive credit for every care package your readers sponsor! Each day, at 4 pm PST, we will tally every team's total care package sales and update this page with the current results.
Bloggers will split into teams, and each team will have a team captain who will formulate their team's strategy for outselling the competition.
The competition will end on June 25th at 7 pm PST--during the Troopathon webcast! We will select the winner based upon which team raised the most money for care packages, and we will announce the winner LIVE during the Troopathon.

Last Year, on June 26th 2008, Move America Forward held our first ever 'Troopathon' titled “From the Front Lines.” This groundbreaking web event was made possible by our partnership with UStream.TV, a fledgling startup company that specializes in cutting edge video streaming technologies. In the year since “From the Front Lines,” the website has grown by over 500%!!
Move America Forward's FIRST "Troopathon" aired June 26th 2008
The idea was simple: bring together the nation’s biggest a-list celebrities, journalists, radio personalities, musicians, actors and pro-troop leaders for one purpose – to show our troops our support and appreciation by sending them the largest shipment of care packages from grateful citizens in history. We also wanted to show people the good and encouraging news coming out of Iraq, the news that our troops were standing at the precipice of victory, and we felt that message was not being picked up by the mass media which seemed to report only negative stories.
On June 26th MAF aired our 8 hour broadcast, which was co-hosted by Melanie Morgan and internet super blogger Michelle Malkin. Together along with some in-studio guests like MAF Executive Director Catherine Moy and Sacramento talk radio legend Mark Williams, the team hosted 8 hours of uninterrupted interviews with all our webcam and telephone guests.

We were joined by impressive and well known guests, all of whom agreed to participate out of their dedication to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. From the talk radio world we had Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Mark Levin, and Laura Ingraham and of course star of radio and TV Sean Hannity. We also had smash hit columnist and author Ann Coulter.
Journalists and correspondents were in the mix too, most had traveled to Iraq and risked their lives to see and report on the great work our troops were doing. Oliver North and Chuck Holton joined us and shared their exciting reports from Iraq and Afghanistan. We also had milblogger Matt Sanchez who has also traveled across the Middle East in search of the true story behind the Iraq war.
Not to be outdone, musicians like Five for Fightin’s John Ondrasik joined the effort to support our troops. We also had comedian Jackie Mason join us, along with a whole host of policy experts like Cliff May from Foundation for Defense of Democracies and bloggers from all across the country. We even talked directly to troops from Ft. Leaventworth, Kansas thanks to Hughes Sullivan and his team.
Our crown jewel of the evening came two-fold; from General David H. Petraeus, commander of American forces in Iraq (and now the whole Middle East) who sent us a video message and also from President George W. Bush himself who sent us a personally signed letter praising our efforts and encouraging everyone to get involved in it!
“From the Front Lines” was ambitious, bringing together people from all different walks of life together for one night and for one purpose. Together with our guests we raised an unprecedented amount of money for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan as our way of saying “thank you” for all they have done for us.
Altogether, “From the Front Lines” raised over$ 1.5 million dollars in a single night to send items like coffee, cookies, beef jerky, Gatorade, candy, hot chocolate, and jelly beans as well as personal comfort items like lip balm, deodorant, wet wipes and personal sized fans.
This historic number of care packages took several weeks to finish shipping off to Iraq and Afghanistan. After the numbers were tallied up, MAF had shipped over 10,000 care packages in a short period of time, thanks to the donations and to our wonderful staff of volunteers at our Sacramento headquarters.
This year Move America Forward hopes to support our troops still in Iraq and the troops now deploying to Afghanistan. We hope to bring back another star studded cast and make “Honor Their Service” even bigger and more beneficial for our brave troops. They are still fighting a tough war to protect our security here at home and with your help we will make an impact and show our troops how much we appreciate – and honor – their service!
Honor Their Service could not be a success without these terrific sponsors. Here is a list of sponsors who are supporting our troops through this historic effort.

Rush Limbaugh has the most listened-to talk radio show in America which is broadcast on over 600 stations around the country, and his show has its own network, the Excellence in Broadcasting Network. Rush Limbaugh is a fixture of American Politics and has made a huge impact on domestic politics. Rush has been as much a target of liberal slings and arrows as he has been an inspiration to conservatives. Barack Obama and his administration singled him out and basically went after him, continually making statements telling supporters and Republicans not to follow Limbaugh. He is almost undoubtedly the most well known conservative worldwide, and he is also a huge supporter of our troops.

Move America Forward (MAF) is the largest pro-troops grassroots organization in the United States committed to supporting the brave men and women of our military and their efforts to defeat terrorism. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, we are dedicated to preserving America’s heritage of freedom and liberty. MAF was formed in early 2004 by the Honorable Howard Kaloogian and acclaimed media personality, Melanie Morgan.
Since its inception, MAF has organized several national tours, hosted dozens of rallies in cities across the country, and produced many television and radio advertisements—all to support our troops. We also led two trips to Iraq to showcase the great work of our troops and to bring our message of thanks and support directly to the troops.
In 2008, MAF organized the unprecedented internet telethon, "From the Front Lines." Working with television, radio and print media stars and celebrities, as well as popular internet bloggers, and the cutting edge company UStream.TV, we raised over $1.5 million for care packages. Orders from our first 'Troopathon' exceeded 12,000 packages. We have shipped over 100 TONS of goods to the troops since our care package program started in 2006.
We are continuing our efforts to support the troops with a new 'Troopathon' for 2009: "Honoring Their Service."
Move America Forward rally to support the troops in Washington D.C.
Here is a short list of some of our accomplishments:
Sent a delegation of radio talk show hosts to Iraq for the "Voices of Soldiers" Truth Tour. With MAF’s Co-Chairs Howard Kaloogian and Melanie Morgan as leaders, this delegation of journalists interviewed soldiers so they could tell the American people about their successes in the fight against terrorism.
Sponsored the "Gold Star Parents to Iraq" trip in which parents of U.S. soldiers killed in the war could see first-hand the country where their sons and daughters made the ultimate sacrifice.
Produced and broadcasted dozens of national television and radio commercials that advocate support for our troops serving heroically in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than 100 million Americans have seen our ads.
MAF Delegation in Iraq with Troops in Baghdad
Traveled across America on the “Honoring our Heroes at the Holidays” tour which collected over 200,000 Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday cards for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our MAF delegation went to Iraq and personally hand-delivered many of the cards and saw firsthand the success of the “surge.”
Started the "Coffee, Cookies, Gatorade, and Beef Jerky for Our Troops" program to send care packages to our military men and women. To date we have sent over 125 tons of premium fresh ground coffee, cookies, beef jerky, Gatorade and other treats to our troops serving in Iraq & Afghanistan. The packages include a personal message of support from a sponsoring family back home.
Launched a Candy Diplomacy program in partnership with the Jelly Belly Candy Company, in which we send 2 oz bags of jellybeans to U.S. troops stationed in Iraq. The bags display the following message in both English and Arabic, “A gift from the American people in hope that your country will one day enjoy the freedom and opportunities that we have in the United States.”
Broadcasted our first annual Support Our Troops Care Package Telethon via webcast in June 2008 – the most successful fundraising web telethon to date. We raised over a million dollars to send the largest single shipment of care packages to U.S. troops in American history with the help of Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Ann Coulter, John Bolton, General David Petraeus and many others.

You can still sponsor a care package that will make a real difference to the troops! You can help make the daily routine of our troops serving
in Afghanistan and Iraq a little more bearable.
We've heard from countless members of the Armed Forces serving in the Middle East that one precious resource in short supply is quality coffee. That's why Move America Forward wanted to send only the BEST GOURMET Coffee to the troops. And what better to enjoy with a cup of exquisite coffee but with name brand Oreo Cookies? Also included in MAF care packages are special treats from Jelly Belly jelly beans, part of our Candy Diplomacy Program.
Care Packages include many varieties of items, always with Coffee, Cookies, Beef Jerky, Gatorade and Jelly Bellys, and could also include any or all of the following:
For The Troops CDs Hot Chocolate Hot Apple Cider Bug Repellent Battery Operated Fans Wet Wipes Foot Powder Sunblock
EVERY CARE PACKAGE comes with a personalized letter, note or comment from YOU to the receiving Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman or Coast Guardsman
At our Care Package Facility we can easily ship thousands of packages at a time
Move America Forward has kicked off our first ever Blogger Competition! Participation is simple: bloggers will organize into teams which will compete against one another to raise funds for the Troopathon. Each team will pick banner ads from our 'Media Kit' or use a hyperlink and post it to their blogs. When users sponsor care packages from your blogs, orders are recorded and tallied on our scoreboard! Each day we will tally every team's total care package sales and then we will update the current results. To view current scores or to participate visit our Blogger Competition page. If you liked watching the Troopathon, you can view and purchase PHOTOS of the event, taken by professional photographers here at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Click Here
