At last year’s Troopathon 5, Governor Mike Huckabee gave Troopathon a massive boost by welcoming our own Debbie Lee on to his show for an interview on his top-rated radio show. Mike has stepped up his commitment to our troops overseas by agreeing to take a much bigger role as a co-host instead of guest.
Lieutenant Governor Mike became Governor of Arkansas in 1996 after previous Democratic Governor Jim Tucker was convicted of fraud in the Clinton Whitewater scandal and resigned. After completing the remainder of Tucker’s term, he was re-elected in 1998 and again in 2002.
As a Presidential hopeful vying for the Republican nomination in 2008, Governor Huckabee ran a strong campaign, winning the all-important Iowa caucuses as well as several key states like West Virginia and Kentucky. Although the nomination would eventually go to Senator John McCain of Arizona, Governor Huckabee showed himself to be a strong leader with a massive base of supporters. Most importantly he was a consistent and faithful supporter of our troops and their missions to defeat Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Debbie Lee on the Mike Huckabee Radio Show to Promote Troopathon
Larry O’Connor is the Editor-in-Chief of Breitbart.tv, encompassing all the great blogs we love like Big Hollywood, Big Journalism, and of course Big Peace and others. Larry began working with Andrew Breitbart in 2009 when he started writing for Big Hollywood and was promoted to Editor-in-Chief in 2011.
In 2010 Larry began his first radio show “Stage Right” and has filled in for dozens of great conservative talk show hosts. He is now a permanent host of “Mornings on the Mall” on WMAL Radio with co-host Brian Wilson.
Andrew was a dear friend and a hero to the movement. After his sad passing in 2012 we were all heartbroken, especially Larry who was one of Andrew’s closest friends. But after that tragedy, Larry took on an even bigger role and we are extremely proud to welcome him to the Troopathon to continue the longstanding and close partnership between Move America Forward and Breitbart.tv.

As of the writing of this e-mail, all of our websites and applications are secure and we have withstood the cyber-attacks from terrorist sympathizers who don’t agree with our campaign to support the troops. You may have noticed over the weekend, some of our e-mails had images not show up and links that didn’t work that affected our ability to raise money for care packages for the troops.
This was due to a cyber-attack from a group of self-proclaimed terrorist sympathizing “hacktivists” who target pro-military and pro-USA sites. These groups are mostly amateurs who see themselves as waging their jihad on the web. Only rarely are they ever actually affiliated with terrorist groups like al-Qaeda.

Over the weekend, all of our websites were under heavy attack from these groups, which forced us to take down the Move America Forward homepage in order to beef up security, however the Troopathon website was unscathed, and we were able to stop all of their attempts to access it!
There is nothing to be alarmed about, our websites have maintained security and Troopathon is still running. The MAF homepage will be back as soon as we are done with updates, but all essential information remains secure and these hackers will not be able to interfere with our Troopathon on Thursday!
Now we are asking you to help us get through this difficult and stressful incident. Our fundraising has taken a hit as we scrambled to respond to these attacks, we couldn’t concentrate on fundraising to get those care packages to our troops. We can’t let the actions of a few bad apples put any kind of speed bump in our efforts, so we need everyone to please step up now and make a donation to help us recover our time lost over the weekend in dealing with this attack!
Happy Fourth of July to all of our MAF supporters, we hope everyone is able to spend the day with friends and family celebrating our nation’s Independence Day. Unfortunately, we know that not everyone can. Our troops overseas in Afghanistan will not be able to BBQ or watch fireworks with their families tonight, because they’re fighting to keep us safe.
Those troops overseas are the reason we’re working SO HARD to put on Troopathon V next week, July 12th. We want to raise funds to send our troops care packages for the summer and we need your help!

This year Troopathon is going to be a very special experience, because everyone will notice the absence of our dear friend Andrew Breitbart, who has been a part of every Troopathon until he tragically passed away earlier this year. We all miss him dearly, and that’s why we are dedicating this year’s Troopathon to his memory and the legacy he left behind. I personally feel that we all have a duty to carry on the fight, for the conservative cause, for our troops, which was his life’s work.
Looking back on last year’s Troopathon, I cannot express in words how extremely touched I was, watching the donations come in. Hearing all of our guests praising the troops, seeing the numbers of viewers on our web stream shooting up, and the orders for care packages rolling in, it brought me to tears several times, just to see the huge outpouring of support.
We must make THIS YEAR’S Troopathon even more successful than last year. Our troops are counting on us! Please help make an impact on our troops and their morale by donating NOW!!!
Since my son Marc Alan Lee gave his life for his country, I have been fighting to support the troops and speak out on their behalf. I do it for the memory of Marc, who was a Navy SEAL, all his SEAL buddies, and all our brave warriors who serve in our military. That’s why the Troopathon is such an important event every year, near and dear to my heart, and I was so deeply moved by the support showed those who contributed.
Our Troops Carry on the Legacy of Our Founding Fathers
and Their Fight for Independence Which We Celebrate Today
The 4th of July is a time to remember America’s first troops, those who fought to forge a new nation, to gain independence from England. Since that first battle for independence, American troops have brought freedom to the shores of countless countries over the whole world, and the American soldier has been the unshakable defender of freedom throughout the world, standing against all odds, against any enemy.
I know my son Marc saw himself that way, and he proudly exemplified the legacy of those first revolutionary warriors who carried the stars and stripes into battle. Marc did that every day in Iraq. He carried the stars and stripes on his shoulder and in his heart as do all of our troops.
He was on patrol with his fellow SEALS in Ramadi in 2006, one of the worst places in all of Iraq at the time. They were on a rooftop and Marc’s buddy Ryan had been critically wounded in a firefight. Marc exposed himself and stood up in the direct line of fire hoping to draw attention to himself, so that the medic could get up to the rooftop. The Medic said Ryan was going to die if they didn’t evacuate him right away. So again Marc stood up again in the line of fire and laid down suppressive fire to cover his buddies so they could carry Ryan safely back to base. He saved Ryan’s life that day.

When they got back to base, their Chief came in and said they had found the house where the insurgents who had just attacked them were hiding. He did not expect the SEALs to fight twice in the same day, but Marc looked at his chief and said “Roger that, let’s go get them!” He and his fellow SEALS volunteered to go back into battle.
On that mission, as the team was making their way up some stairs, they took sniper fire through a window and once again Marc put himself in the line of fire to safe his buddies, but this time, he sacrificed himself and laid down his life to save his buddies and to serve his only mission…which was to protect and defend America.
Marc gave his life for America, for the American people and the ideals we stand for, and the freedoms we enjoy. The brave troops who fought for America’s independence fought for the very same reason, just as all of our troops in all the wars America has fought, fought for freedom and for democracy, and to preserve the strength and prosperity of the American people.

I am so proud of my son Marc, and our troops that continue to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, on this 4th of July, as our nation celebrates our 235th birthday, please think of the troops like my son Marc, and all of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and remember the troops who are still over there, risking their lives, fighting for our freedoms.

AMBASSADOR JOHN R. BOLTON CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION IN TROOPATHON 201
We’re extremely excited to announce that Ambassador John Bolton, former Bush Administration official who was legendary for his tough diplomatic style, that always put America first, has graciously agreed to participate in Troopathon again for 2012.
Trooathon is a huge event that we do once a year to support our troops and raise much needed funds for care packages to send to the troops over in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, it seems that in recent months support for our troops and their missions is waning.
The media is all but ignoring our men and women serving in Afghanistan. You no longer see the stories of their heroism on the nightly news. We can’t allow our troops to be forgotten. This year’s theme for Troopathon is “NEVER FORGET our TROOPS” because we are fighting to remind the American people that our troops are still at war, while the rest of the country is at the mall.
Ambassador Bolton, ever the expert when it comes to the threats against our nation posed by hostile foreign dictators, is the perfect addition to the Troopathon. His expertise reminds us about the threats America faces from around the world. There are even whispers that Bolton could be Secretary of State under a future President Romney
We may have grown complacent in recent years, because the media and the Obama Administration have downplayed the significance of the War on Terror. Obama’s domestic agenda, programs like Obamacare, and rampant spending on social experiments distract us from the OTHER threats leering just outside our attention span.
IRAN’S MISSILES
Iran, Syria, North Korea, these are just a FEW of the possible threats we may face, according to Bolton, not to mention the continuing war in Afghanistan, and the delicate peace in Iraq, and the frightening instability in Egypt threatening to boil over.
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton says it is definitely in America’s interest to see the Assad regime collapse in Syria but he recommends no direct U.S. role at this time.
“I don’t think President Obama understands the significance of everything that is going on in the Middle East,” Bolton told WND.
Bolton scolds the Obama administration for making many concessions to Russia on missile defense and other issues but failing in every way to end Russian support of Syria and Iran.
Finally, Bolton assesses the latest developments in Egypt, where he says there are no good options. He says the military and Muslim Brotherhood will likely find a way to work together and that anything close to a representative democracy won’t be a reality there anytime soon.

In 2010, Mike Krzyzewski became a four-time National Champion at Duke University, adding to his impressive resume, which includes induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
Coach K got his start in basketball as team captain of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point basketball team. After serving his country as an Army Officer, ascending to Captain, he resigned in 1974 to begin his coaching career. From 1975-1980 he was Head Coach at West Point before moving on to Duke, where he has spent the past 30 years.
In 2005 he was presented West Point’s Distinguished Graduate Award. He currently serves as head coach of the U.S. National team, winning a Gold Medal in 2008 and restoring honor to the National team in the process.

Not only does Coach K instill the lessons he learned from his days of service, appreciating the value of teamwork, dedication and sacrifice, he continues to share a profound appreciation of the brave men and women serving their country.

CHENEY FAMILY THANKS MAF FOR GET WELL CARD LIZ CHENEY SUPPORTING TROOPATHON AGAIN
Great news everyone! The Cheney family, who have been great supporters of Move America Forward, has agreed to participate in Troopathon AGAIN this year! Last year Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney and the leader of her own pro-troop group called Keep America Safe, was interviewed by Melanie Morgan for the Troopathon. Remember earlier this year when the former VP needed a heart transplant? You will also recall the droves of liberals who shamefully spewed hatred for Dick Cheney all over the web, TV, and print as well as social media. Even as he sat in a hospital bed recovering from a dangerous and invasive surgery, they questioned whether he deserved a heart!Some on the left openly wished for Cheney to die, instead of receive a new ticker, and they weren’t shy about letting people know how they felt!NBC’s medical editor Nancy Snyderman (pictured on right) said Cheney’s operation “…raised a lot of ethical questions, moral questions, about whether the Vice President, in fact, should have received his heart…”Even more hateful were the comments posted on Democratic Underground, a website well-known for its extreme left slant. The following are all quotes from their website! “I hope he dies a slow death” “Cheney is a murderer” “I hope dick is in pain and drowning in his own fluids” “I’m not going to feel anything but intense gratitude… [when he dies]”
In response to the liberals and their outrageous spite, we put together a last-minute effort to send a huge “GET WELL SOON” card to the Vice President, to remind him that no matter what a few talking-heads on TV might say, the American people still support him and wish him the best! We got over 13,000 signatures in only a couple days! After we heard that the VP was out of the hospital, we scrambled to print and send off the huge packet of Thank You Cards, with all 13,000 names included, 100 names per page!
The Cheney family was SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL for the Get-Well card that Liz Cheney actually tweeted a photo of her father standing with the stack of names.
