Operation Care Package: From Local Hands to Global Lands

Big smiles and helping hands!

Troopathon renewed its cherished, annual partnership with Operation Care Package, marking another year of uniting an incredible coalition of community heroes to support our service members and veterans.

This powerhouse, long-standing collaboration once again brought together the American Red Cross California Gold Country Region, local Blue Star Moms chapters, and broadcasters KCRA 3 and My58. Hosted at the bustling Roseville Automall in Roseville, CA, this year's community-driven donation drive brought together hundreds of neighbors and friends.

The energy at the Automall was electric as volunteers packed customized, high-quality care packages destined for deployed military personnel stationed around the world. These boxes serve as a tangible reminder of home, stuffed with essential goods, comfort items, and handwritten letters of appreciation. Even hard written messages were included on many of the boxes for extra support!

But the warmth of this initiative didn’t stop at the border. In an inspiring twist of local generosity, a substantial portion of the contributions are remaining right here in Northern California. These donations are being fast-tracked to regional service organizations, ensuring that our local veterans, active service members, and military families have the resources, care, and dignity they deserve right in our own backyard.

Support Deployed Troops Year-Round

We got mail!

‍Right now, thousands of American service members serve us in harsh, high-stress environments overseas. They endure grueling conditions, extreme isolation, and intense homesickness. While public attention fades after the holidays, their sacrifice never stops. They face these challenges daily, and we should not abandon them without vital front support.

Troopathon’s Recurring Donor Program steps into this gap. A monthly, quarterly, or annual pledged gift provides a critical, unbroken lifeline. It guarantees that our heroes regularly receive care packages packed with high-quality items like Bombas socks, gourmet San Francisco Bay coffee, See’s Candies, Girl Scout Cookies,  essential hygiene items, protein packed snack like nuts, granola bars, jerky and energy gels and most importantly a message of support and care from you.

‍ ‍Troopathon Care Packages deliver more than just supplies; they provide a powerful reminder that America stands with them.

Thousands of our current donors are members of our recurring donation program, and their love and dedication help drive our mission to success. According to long time monthly donor Christine Prudhomme, “I love the troops and I came from a military family, and I know how they must feel being so far from home without any support, it would be awful. My brother and my son both served full careers in the Air Force for over 20 years each and all three of my grandchildren served, two are still active duty and one is now in the reserves. I am retired now and on a fixed income, but this is something I can do, and it is just so important to me to be able to help our troops.”

Christine went on to say that even though she doesn’t do it for the thanks, she is thrilled and honored when she hears back from the service members she has supported, In addition to the many thank you post cards she has received she also was gifted a signed photo from a platoon who received one of her care packages and they even made her an honorary platoon member. It made Christine’s day to be sure! If you are thinking of becoming a member of our recurring donation program, today is a wonderful day to start. And while we can’t guarantee you will be made an honorary platoon member you will become part of our elite team  of Troopathon recurring support warriors!

Fuel the Elite: Recovery Built for Our Warriors

Super volunteer Heather Green busy loading care packages with fuel for our troops!

Heather Green, one of our most resolute volunteers with over seven years of faithful Troopathon service, knows on a deeply personal level what it means to support our brave warriors in the field. Heather is the proud mother of David Green, a member of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. As a Ranger, David operates in some of the world's most perilous and active conflict zones.

While David faces those dangers to defend our nation, Heather channels a mother's love into a vital mission back home: uplifting the morale, welfare, and spirits of our resolute service members.

For Heather, volunteering with Troopathon is a labor of love. She takes comfort in packing high-quality, nourishing items like GU Roctane Ultra Endurance Protein Recovery drink mix, knowing exactly the impact a piece of home can deliver.

“I am all for the military and just want to help out any way I can,” Heather shares from the heart. And her impact is undeniable.

Troopathon relies on the fierce devotion of volunteers like Heather and premium products like Roctane Chocolate Smoothie mix to sustain our heroes. Each serving delivers 20 grams of muscle-repairing, high-quality protein to keep our troops fueled through the harshest, most grueling conditions. Roctane provides fast-acting carbohydrates to replenish drained muscle glycogen stores and vital electrolytes to replace what is lost through sweat and extreme exertion.

This powerful recovery mix is just one of the life-sustaining products Heather has carefully packed into the thousands of Troopathon care packages she has lovingly assembled over the years—sending a piece of home, and a mother's gratitude, across the globe.

Platoon Leader at deployed to Camp Badger reaches out for support for his team.

“As a Platoon Leader currently deployed to XXX in the Middle East, I am reaching out on behalf of my Soldiers that are in my platoon that are currently with me . Our unit has been on the ground here for over five months, maintaining operations and staying dedicated to our mission away from our families. Receiving care packages gives our hard-working team a well-deserved morale boost and reminds them that their tireless efforts behind the scenes are seen and deeply appreciated. Receiving these packages means much more than just the physical items inside; it serves as a powerful reminder to my Soldiers that people back home in the United States care about them, hold them in their thoughts, and support their service.
Your generosity will go a long way in boosting unit morale and bringing a touch of home to our team
