We Are Troopathon

We've got some exciting news to share with you. We have officially changed our name to Troopathon! It's been a while coming but now we can let the cat out of the bag.

After two decades of unwavering commitment supporting our troops on the front lines and delivering over 1,000 tons of care packages, we've decided to officially adopt the name Troopathon. Why the change you ask? Well, we felt it was truly important to enhance our brand recognition. Additionally, Troopathon better aligns with our core mission of supporting our military personnel and their families.

Our annual Troopathon fundraiser has not only been a tremendous success but has also significantly raised awareness of our cause. To eliminate any potential confusion and to better represent our efforts, this name change is the right move. As a result, Troopathon it is going forward.

No need to worry. While our name is changing, our mission and values will remain steadfast and our core mission continues as one of support for the brave men and women serving in our military. Troopathon continues to provide our troops with the highest quality care packages and support they desperately need and deserve.

We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our loyal donors over the past 20 years. Thank you all! What a profoundly impactful partnership we offer our troops. Thank you for standing with us in support of our troops. With your continued dedication, we are excited to embark on this new chapter as Troopathon!

S.C.P.A. Packing Party for Deployed Troops in Honor of Cesar Chavez Day

Troopathon recently hosted the Sacramento County Probation Association (SCPA) to commemorate Cesar Chavez Day by assembling care packages bound for our deployed troops.

A cadre of enthusiastic probation officers and their families flooded the Troopathon warehouse to pack over 1,000 boxes jam packed with essential items. Care packages including gourmet coffee, premium beef jerky, Girl Scout cookies, Blue Diamond almonds, personal hygiene kits, handmade items, and letters of encouragement from our amazing care package sponsors were assembled and prepped for shipping. To be sure, our SCPA volunteers really threw themselves into their mission with dedication, high spirits and enthusiasm.

The packing party was undertaken to honor the legacy of Cesar Chavez and specifically to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by our troops. These care packages serve as an expression of gratitude and support for our brave service members stationed abroad.

"SCPA is proud to partner with Troopathon in support of our troops and in honor of Cesar Chavez's commitment to service and advocacy," said Nicole De La Riva, Sacramento County Probation Association. Troopathon Outreach Director, Scott Raab, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "This partnership underscores our commitment to providing emotional and tangible support to our active-duty troops. We are indeed grateful for SCPA's dedication to honoring the sacrifices made by our military men and women."

Our Troops Go Wild For Wild Caught Pink Salmon

We are always excited when we can add something new and surprising to our care packages for our troops to enjoy. For a limited time Troopathon care packages are thrilled to offer Wild Planet wild caught pink salmon! Each can of salmon is tinned in recyclable BPHA free can and packs a nutritional wallop with 23 grams of protein per can.

Wild Planet wild caught pink salmon is sustainably caught in Alaska by small scale fishing families. Additionally, Wild Planet Wild Caught Pink Salmon offers a great source of Vitamin D, calcium, and EPA and DHA Omega-3s. Our troops will love the convenience, nutrition, and taste when they dig into a can of Wild Planet Wild Caught Pink Salmon.

We want to offer a big thank you to our friend, Vietnam Veteran Mike Nichols who has dedicated his life to serving his country and supporting veterans and military families for orchestrating this generous donation. Mike is deeply involved in Stand Down, a veterans service organization to address and serve the needs of at-risk veterans. Mike continues to be a key coordinator for Troopathon's care package program.

Photo of the Month: What Does a Care Package Mean?

It’s a break away from the harsh realty we are enduring. Something to give us that comfort when we all are missing home.
