Troopathon and SCPA Unite to Honor Cesar Chavez Day, Packing Care Packages for Deployed Troops

Sacramento, CA – April 1st, 2024 — Troopathon, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, is teaming up with the Sacramento County Probation Association (SCPA) to commemorate Cesar Chavez Day by assembling care packages for deployed troops.

Probation officers and their families will volunteer to pack over 1000 boxes filled with essential items, personalized to fulfill specific requests from military families, including gourmet coffee, premium beef jerky, Girl Scout cookies, Blue Diamond almonds, personal hygiene kits, handmade items, and letters of encouragement.

The event aims to honor the legacy of Cesar Chavez and show appreciation for the sacrifices made by our troops. These care packages serve as a tangible expression of gratitude and support for our brave service members stationed abroad.

"SCPA is proud to partner with Troopathon in support of our troops and in honor of Cesar Chavez's commitment to service and advocacy," said Nicole De La Riva, Sacramento County Probation Association. Troopathon Outreach Director, Scott Raab, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "This partnership underscores our commitment to providing emotional and tangible support to our active-duty troops. We are grateful for SCPA's dedication to honoring the sacrifices made by our military men and women."

Representatives from the Sacramento County Probation Association and Folsom City Councilmember Rodriguez will join forces to pack more than 1000 care packages for deployed troops, serving over 2000 families at the Troopathon Operation Center located at 3105 Fite Circle, Suite #108, Sacramento, CA, on Monday, April 1st, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
