PG&E Volunteers Fuel Major Care Package Push to Close Out Military Appreciation Month

A big thank you and congratulations to the incredible team at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for wrapping up Military Appreciation Month with a massive support effort.

To close out Military Appreciation Month, PG&E employees brought tremendous energy and dedication to supporting our deployed service members. Through this fantastic volunteer effort and strong corporate backing, PG&E has truly shined as on of Troopathon’s most resolute community partners.

When a mission needs to get done, the PG & E team knows how to deliver. In an inspiring final push for May, company volunteers rolled up their sleeves at our Sacramento headquarters to assemble hundreds of Troopathon care packages to uplift our troops just as the grueling summer deployment heat kicks in.

Thanks to PG & E’s hard work, our front-line heroes will soon be receiving care packages loaded with premium snacks like high protein beef jerky, nuts, gourmet San Francisco Bay Coffee, 5-Hour Energy shots, Girl Scout Cookies and daily comforts like Bombas moisture wicking socks and heavy duty hygiene items meant to combat the extreme conditions our troops face daily.

Of course, no care package would be complete without a heartfelt note of support from our amazing sponsors who are there to cheer them on every day.

For troops stationed in remote and dangerous zones across the globe, a Troopathon care package is a powerful reminder that their country stands firmly behind them.

Distance cannot dim a father’s devotion. This Father’s Day we honor the brave dads serving far from home, holding their children close in their hearts until the next long-awaited embrace. According to Tashaun’s family member, “His main reason for joining was to make sure his daughter had something to be proud of her dad for. He wanted her to be proud of him and wanted her to say it with happiness when she told her friends what he did.” We are also very proud of Tashaun and thank him for protecting our American family.
